About Sky Kershner, MINT, ISTDP

I am semi-retired, after having served as the director of an out-patient counseling center for over 30 years.

I have a small practice in pastoral counseling called Stillpoint WV, offering emotionally focused therapy for individuals and couples

I teach ISTDP / Psychodynamics (fear of feelings) to third year psychiatrist residents at WVU School of Medicine, Charleston Division. ISTDP is Intensive Short Term Dynamic Therapy.

I offer trainings in Motivational Interviewing, Critical Incident Stress Management, Cultural Sensitivity, and Trauma Informed Care throughout WV, the US, and the world.

I am the Pastor Emeritus of Unity of Kanawha Valley on Bridge Road in Charleston, where I served for 20 years.

I have lots of credentials, some of them even helped me to be a better therapist and person. What really matters, I think, is how you feel when you are with the person you have hired to help you.
